Home Prices are up, but Sales Stay Strong

September showed a steady increase in year over year prices for Southern California based on CoreLogic data.  An article by the OC Register further explains how the data shows that Orange County median home prices were up 4.1% in September over the previous year.  Net-Sheets-Background

“September marked the 53rd consecutive month of year-over-year price gains.  Meanwhile, home prices were up throughout the six-county Southern California region.

The median Southern California home price was $460,000 in September, up 5.7 percent from year-ago levels. Sales totaled 20,927 homes, down 0.8 percent.”

San Bernardino County saw an 11.1% increase in median home price, while Los Angeles County and Riverside County had increases of 7.3% and 6.2% respectively.
